Privacy and Disclosure are important and relevant issues in today’s regulatory and business environment. In order to address these issues and to indicate that we take both of these issues very seriously, we have developed information for our clients about our approach to both of these issues and how it affects them.

Thomas E. Jarvis Insurance Agency, also known as Jarvis & Associates, consists of three principals acting as agents for the corporation. They are David Jarvis, Ian Jarvis and Leslie Ann Holbrow. All principals are licensed for life and health insurance in Ontario. In order to meet the needs of our national clients we also work with licensed affiliates across the country.

Jarvis & Associates confirms that there is no conflict of interest in respect to the advice provided to our clients regarding any product or service you are considering. Our recommendations are based solely on the analysis and assessment of each client’s specific needs. We are not allied with any particular insurance company and no insurance or investment company holds an interest in Jarvis & Associates.

Privacy Procedures

At Jarvis & Associates an important part of our commitment to service excellence is the privacy of personal information entrusted to us. We respect that trust and want you to be aware of our promise to protect the information you share in the course of doing business with us.

The range of products and services we offer continues to expand and the technology we use continues to change, but no matter how our business changes, we will do everything we can to ensure that your personal information is kept in strict confidence.

Protecting Privacy means:

• We keep your personal information in strict confidence.
• We respect privacy when we market our products and services.

“Personal information” means information about an identifiable individual, but does not include the name, title or business address or telephone number of an employee of an organization.

Why we need information and how we use it:

When you do business with us, you share personal information so that we may provide you with products and services that best meet your needs. We may use and disclose this information in order to:

• Communicate with you in a timely and efficient manner on a variety of issues
• Evaluate renewal information presented by your insurer(s)
• Evaluate claims, underwriting risks and new products or services when required
• Act as required or authorized by law

What we will not do with your information:

We do not sell client information to anyone. Nor do we share client information with organizations outside of our relationship with you that would use it to contact you about their own products or services.

We strive to protect your personal information:

All employees, associated advisors and suppliers who are granted access to client records understand the need to keep this information protected and confidential. They know they are to use the information only for the purposes intended. This expectation is clearly communicated.
